I checked the Twitter and Facebook for the library this morning. Tomorrow is the library budget vote. http://hosted-p0.vresp.com/169374/f7b927459e/ARCHIVE
Vote on the Mount Vernon Public Library Budget and Trustees on May 2014 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
I read some more of Memories, Dreams, Reflections which is C.G. Jung's biography. I am also reading Alison Levine's On The Edge. She is describing training for sleep deprivation and hunger which are part of climbing Everest and going to places like the North Pole.
I spent a little time looking at Earlyword and the Black Expressions Book Club websites.
I tried to do what I could today with Facebook and Twitter. The Friends of the Mount Vernon Public Library are making the reminder calls right now to get people to go out and vote tomorrow. It should be interesting tomorrow. The Grace Greene Baker Community Room is where people will go to vote. There are poll workers that have been hired. Extra parking has been arranged for around the library.

I checked the libraries Twitter and Facebook today. I also posted about the vote on May 6, 2014 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the Mount Vernon Public Library.
Today is the second day of the Friends of the Library Book and Bake Sale. I hope it goes well today.
I read some more of Memories, Dreams, Reflections. In some ways, it is quite interesting. For example Jung describes building his house without many modern conveniences so he can be closer to nature. For example, there is no telephone, he pumps water by hand, and chops firewood. I also like Jung's comparison of the Pueblo religion to that of the Eleusinian mysteries.

Daily Thoughts 05/02/2014
On the way to work, I finished reading Opportunity Knocking Lessons from Business Leaders by Lori Ann LaRocco. It is just right for a business book. The length is 148 pages. It is easy to carry around on the subway or train and would make good commuter or travel reading. The book has an index, notes, and an appendix with quotes from each business leader which Lori Ann LaRocco writes about. I am reading this in preparation for her coming to the Mount Vernon Public Library on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This morning, I checked the Twitter and Facebook for the library. I have been trying to post regularly about the vote on May 6, 2014 between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Mount Vernon Public Library. I also checked the displays and the gift books.
The Friends of the Mount Vernon Public Library Book and Bake Sale is today and tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. I stopped by had a cup of coffee, bought a brownie, and book, Who Are You? 101 Ways of Seeing Yourself by Malcolm Godwin.
I am looking at On The Edge, The Art of High Impact Leadership by Alison Levine. It is a business book. However, there are also color pictures of mountaineering in it. It should be interesting.
http://www.risingmediagroup.com/images/web%20pdfs/5-2mtvernon_rising.pdf On P.1 of the Mount Vernon Rising, May 2, 2014 Issue there is an article called Public to Vote on Mt. Vernon Library Budget for the First Time.
In the latest paper copy of the May Mount Vernon Inquirer, there is an advertisement in support of the library.
I spent some time going over who I would visit on the Exhibitor floor at Book Expo America. I will put them in order by number before I go on the show floor. This way I can start at the beginning and see most of the exhibitors I want to see.
