I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this morning.


I also signed up for a Fundraising and Grantsmanship class this coming month as part of the Certified Public Library Administrator program.

I started reading Staffing for Results A Guide to Working Smarter by Diane Mayo and Jeanne Goodrich for the Public Library Association.  I am reading about Work Analysis.  There is a descripton of the difference between effectiveness where people choose the right things to do and efficiency where people work with greater speed.

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this morning.

I did a digitization survey this morning.

I finished reading The Purpose Based Library Finding Your Path to Survival, Success, and Growth by John J. Huber and Steven B. Potter.  I read some about the idea of library as publisher.  The last chapter was on sustainability.  The authors reminded us that natural light, more efficient lighting, and energy efficiency are something that all of us can do.

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this morning.

I read an  e-book from the Baen free library last night, Redliners by David Drake.

I read some more of The Purposed Based Library today.  I am reading about how marketing should add value to the library as well as how it is important to sell your purpose to raise funds.

I spent a little more time thinking about staffing today.

I ordered some transcripts for my Introduction to Publishing Class and my Introducation to Databases class today.

I read a little more of The Purpose Based Library.  I am reading about service and marketing.

I checked the Twitter and Facebook for the library.

I spent some more time reading The Purpose Based Library.  I am reading about the library as a creative space where people write.  I have thought we should work more on doing writing workshops.  We have done poetry, creative nonfiction, and memoir workshops at the library.

I am off this week so I am relaxing.

I spent a little time thinking about staffing.

I read the New York Times Bestseller list.
