Daily Thoughts 2/4/2010

I have been looking at our ordering process. We also are well along on our shifting project both upstairs and downstairs. We have to look at how we are going to move the paperbacks. I have been doing more weeding both for the upstairs and downstairs area. We are also cleaning up the collection; putting on new plastic covers, moving books to storage, and other activities.

I looked through the donations today and found a few things that were interesting; there was a very nice set of biographies on people like Marc Chagall, Maimonides, and Benjamin Disraeli printed by Schocken Books. There was also a set of books by Josephine Tey in excellent condition. Of course, there was also a book titled Pulps, Spicy Detective, 100 Full Color Rare Original Covers, and Over 50 Complete Stories. It is always entertaining to look at the old pulp covers.

Have the book This Book is Overdue How Librarians and Cybrarians Can Save Us All by Marilyn Johnson. It seems a tiny bit self indulgent to read this book. I rather like the cover.
