Still Life with Raisin Cake, Fruit, and Wine, William Michael Harnett, 1876

Daily Thoughts 10/14/2014

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this morning.

I have been thinking a little bit more about the book Superintelligence. Ray Kurzweil was recently hired by Google to create an intelligent search engine that would be able to answer questions and follow up later on peoples search queries.  This is a challenge in some ways to the library profession.

I checked the gift books and the displays this morning.  I also did some shifting in the 900s.  The library is showing Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds from 2:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

I spent a little time looking at the Webucator free library partner program.

We have two computer classes tonight,  a Microsoft Word class and a Fundamentals of Computers class in the Computer Lab.
