The Attributes of the Sciences - Jean-Baptiste-Simeon Chardin
The Attributes of the Sciences, Jean-Baptiste Simeon Chardin, 1731

Daily Thoughts 01/03/2016

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this morning.

I read through the New York Times and Publishers Weekly bestseller lists.

I also finished reading Inherit the Stars by Tony Peak.  It has a nice bit of science fantasy with data crystals.  There was plenty of action in the story.  The enemy were classic villains, alien gene manipulators.  It was a pleasant escape for a few evenings.

I started reading The Girls of Atomic City by Denise Kiernan which is about the creation of the Manhattan Project.  It takes the perspective of the every day people who worked on the project.  There is also discussion of the politics involved.  This includes a description of a secret meeting at Bohemian Grove.
