This morning, I checked the Twitter and Facebook for the library. I also checked the gifts and displays. I have to update the displays. January is Financial Wellness month.

I spent some time ordering bestsellers and a few forthcoming titles.

I applied for World Book Night today as an organizational giver. http://www.ala.org/conferencesevents/wbn

I am going through a big pile of Booklist, Publishers Weekly, and New York Times Book Reviews. I put the graphic novel, Hip Hop Family Tree by Ed Piskor on hold. I am also looking forward to Jeff Vandermeer's new book, Annhilation.

There is a budget hearing for the city on January 10, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. for the City of Mount Vernon.
