Daily Thoughts 06/20/2014

Daily Thoughts 06/20/2014

I read a little more of Capital in the Twenty First Century this morning.  I am reading about sovereign wealth funds where a country invests money in a fund for their citizens.  These are growing fast.  Thomas Piketty describes that possibly by 2030 to 2040 there will be as much in sovereign wealth funds as there is in private capital.

I checked the Twitter and Facebook this morning.  I also checked the gifts and displays.  I spent  a little time preparing for the Knit and Snack program today.  We have an author talk tomorrow, Opportunity Knocking Lessons from Business Leaders by Lori Ann LaRocco.  It should be an excellent talk.  The talk runs from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

I sat in on the Knit and Snack program today for an hour.  The Substitute Librarian job description is up on the website.  http://www.mountvernonpubliclibrary.org/Careers

I did a little bit of scheduling and worked on a few short paragraphs for a future newsletter.
