Daily Thoughts 10/06/2017

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this morning.  We have another project to do with the Mount Vernon Local Author Fair.  We have to contact the press to come to the event.  A few people were contacted today.

I read a little bit of Leading Libraries: How To Create A Service Culture by Wyoma VanDuinkerken.  I am mainly looking at procedures and ideas for policies with customer service.

Maintenance is setting up the Grace Greene Baker room for the Local Author Fair as well as the Fiction Room.  We are getting food and printing up name tags.  The giveaways are in order.  I talked to a few authors today who are sending in additional material via email.

I placed an order for new books this morning.  I also checked the gift books and the displays.

We have some display boards which we are going to be using to show the authors biographies.

I read the New York Times
