Daily Thoughts 11/07/2017

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this morning.

I read some more of Life 3.0.  I am reading about whether it is possible for a general artificial intelligence to have the same goals as people.  The three laws of robotics of Isaac Asimov are described in this chapter.

I also read some more of Three Zeros.  Muhammad Yunus argues that it is possible for third world countries to leapfrog ahead and skip over polluting technologies and adopt clean technologies early.  They do not have to go directly to coal or nuclear power.  They can go to biofuels, hydroelectric, and solar immediately.

I went and voted today.
