Daily Thoughts 12/4/2010

I spent some time looking at gift policies for libraries.  We are not ordering anything right now except for some furniture that is part of the capital budgets.  I also went through the displays this morning which are emptying very quickly.

I also have a stack of magazines to read.

Content Curation another word for "collection development" or "acquisitions" packaged for the web. http://wegrowmedia.com/digital-publishing-curation-vs-collection-vs-experience/  It reminds me a bit of the content strategy group on Meetup  http://www.meetup.com/cs-nyc/ .  Maybe if you work managing a collection of ebooks, you might now be called the "content curator".  New media speak can have wonderful implications.

I also was looking at Meetup and came across the Digital Bookworld Meetup.   Digital Book World is a news site for ebooks.  http://www.digitalbookworld.com
