Daily Thoughts 07/01/2013

Last night, I read some of Ungifted Intelligence Redefined The Truth About Talent, Practice, Creativity, and the Many Paths to Greatness by Scott Barry Kaufman.  Scott Barry Kaufman opens by reminiscing about his own early label as developmentally disabled.  He had problems with auditory processing.  This drove his interest in intelligence.

This morning, I checked the Twitter and Facebook for the library.  I also spent some time setting up the summer reading displays.  The theme for the displays is Beach Reads.  I also spent a bit of time updating the current events display.

I did a bit of ordering as well.  I also read a copy of Booklist.  A few of new graphic novels came in.  Harvey Pekar's Cleveland with Art by Joseph Remnant, Batman the Court of Owls, Volume 1, and others.  It is sometimes enjoyable to look through the new books.

This is a relief.  It shows that people still very much want libraries in New York.
