Daily Thoughts 10/24/2019

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this morning.

Last night, I finished reading The Vanished Library A Wonder of the Ancient World by Luciano Canfora.  It is about the Library of Alexandria.  It gives short accounts from history about the Library of Alexandria and how it might have looked like and who worked there.  There is quite a bit on Homeric scholarship and different philosophers.

I checked the displays and the gift books this morning.

I checked some books in the mezzanine.

We are continuing to shift books in the main floor nonfiction section.

I spent some time discussing the New York Times Digital Edition with a sales representative today.

I also discussed a grant we are finishing writing from Humanities New York.
