Daily Thoughts 07/05/2014

I checked the Twitter and Facebook for the library.

I read some more of The Zero Marginal Cost Society by Jeremy Rifkin.  I am reading about advances in 3D printing and how they tie in to the other advances which are occuring in society like open source manufactuing, renewable energy, and advances in telecommunications.  He is describing how 3D printing is both making home manufacturing much easier and eventually will change the manufacturing of things like cars and house. Chinese Company Builds Houses Quickly with 3D Printing Local Motors 3D Printed Car Could Lead an American Manufacturing Revolution.
