Giorgione: The Three Philosophers
Three Philosophers, Giorgione, circa 1508 or 1509

Daily Thoughts 09/10/2019

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this morning.

I also checked the displays and the gift books.

I have a copy of the New York Review Books, the Ingram Advance, and the New York Times Book Review to read.

I read some more of The Jixia Academy and the Birth of Higher Learning in China.  The Jixia Academy was sponsored by the Qi rulers.  It was very much a tool for political philosophy and thinking.    In contrast, the Greek Academy was more focused on mathematics and philosophy.

I spent some time discussing programs.

I sent in the Arts Westchester grant yesterday.

I spent some time checking nonfiction books in the mezzanine.
