Daily Thoughts 11/09/2015

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook.

I checked out the book, Amazing Fantastic Incredible A Marvelous Memoir by Stan Lee with Peter David and Colleen Doran.  Peter David used to write for Star Trek.  He consistently writes science fiction bestsellers.  Colleen Doran is famous for her independent comic A Distant Soil.

Colleen Doran did a beautiful job with the drawings.  The coloring is fantastic.  It is Stan Lee's story.  There are a lot of excellent pointers on writing and editing.  The story is enjoyable.  It also the story of Marvel Comics.  There is a lot of history of the comic book industry in this memoir.  If you read comics you should read this.

I also started reading Superforecasting the Art and Science of Prediction by Philip E. Tetlock and Dan Gardner.  This is about how to follow trends towards the future.  It is based on a long term study of forecasting by Philip Tetlock.
