Daily Thoughts 10/09/2019

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this afternoon.

This morning, I was at the Kings Highway Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library.  They are the first branch in Brooklyn with a Best Buy Teen Computer Center.  We spent time looking at the different computers.  They had a dozen hewlett packards and four MacIntosh computers.  \

There was also a sound studio with a midi keyboard and drums.  There was a drawing tablet and cameras and a variety of other electronics like a makerbot.  It was a combination of makerspace and computer lab.  I liked seeing the setting.

We are planning on applying for the Best Buy Grant.  We are also planning for a teen lab and maker space of our own at the Mount Vernon Public Library.

I checked the gift books and the displays when I got back.

People continued to shift books while I was out.

I read a copy of the Times Literary Supplement and the New York Review of Books.
