Daily Thoughts 05/06/2019

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this morning.

I finished reading How to Do Nothing Resisting the Attention Economy by Jenny Odell.  There is an ecological statement against manifest destiny and the concept of progress.  Jenny Odell argues that it is not inclusive, is destructive to the environment, and promotes a kind of progress which leads to inequities in society.

I also read some more of Space 2.0.  I am reading about the different new space companies like United Launch Alliance, SpaceX, Blue Origin, and Planetary Resources.  There are a lot of new technologies which are being developed like larger rockets, minisatellites, and reusability designed to lower costs in getting people to space.
