Daily Thoughts 12/24/2018

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this morning.

I read some more of Capitalism In America: A History last night.  I am reading about the concept of creative destruction.

I finished reading In The House In the Dark of the Woods by Laird Hunt.  This book is a fantasy which draws from fairytales magic and legends.  It is written in the style of a weird tale.  It has hints of Lord Dunsany and magical realism.  The story and writing are hard to describe, but beautiful.  There is magic in this work, but it is the magic of seeing, the woods, and words.  Nothing is quite as it seems in the story.

I watched In Defense of Food An Eaters Manifesto which is a PBS special based on the book by Michael Pollan on Kanopy.  Michael Pollan is the narrator for the special.  His famous quote is "Eat food. Not too much.  Mostly plants."

I posted about the Give Gab campaign for a new Teen Computer Lab/Young Adult Area.
