Daily Thoughts 05/17/2018

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this morning.

I finished reading The Space Barons Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and the Quest to Colonize the Cosmos by Christian Davenport.  Christian Davenport writes for the Washington Post which is owned by Jeff Bezos.  This is a very positive, upbeat description of the race for space by private companies.  It holds your attention very well and is thoroughly entertaining.

I also started reading On Grand Strategy by John Lewis Gaddis.  It starts with the old question which is better being a hedgehog, focusing on one things, or being a fox learning many things.  Apparently people who are foxes tend to maker better predictions about the future.

I checked the displays and the gift books this morning.

I spent a little time thinking about programs today.  I have to finish up my planning for the end of the year programming.

I looked over some books that needed mending.  I also looked over some books that were listed as not being the catalog.
