Daily Thoughts 02/19/2018

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this morning.

I read some more of Win Bigly.  Scott Adams is best known for his business cartoon, Dilbert.  A lot of the writing in this book is quite funny, even if it is a serious subject.

I checked on a few things for the library.

I spent some time on Kanopy which is a new streaming service available through the Westchester Library System.  You get 10 checkouts with Kanopy.  I am watching the video series How to Boost Your Physical and Mental Energy.  The first episode is Facing the Day With Energy.  The Great Courses which includes How To Boost Your Physical and Mental Energy is also available on Hoopla. There are 5 checkouts on Hoopla.  There is some overlap so I will be able to finish taking this series using both Hoopla and Kanopy together.

I checked on my class, Winning Support and Influencing Communities for Library Funding.

I also checked the purchase alerts for holds.

I watched a documentary this afternoon called Meet the Donors Does Money Talk.  Alexandra Palosi interviewed many of the top donors, both Republicans and Democrats on why they donated to politics listed on Open Secrets https://www.opensecrets.org/
