Daily Thoughts 01/13/2019

I checked the library Twitter and Facebook this morning.

I posted about our Givegab campaign
https://www.givegab.com/campaigns/teen-computer-lab

I finished reading Soft Power The Means to Success In World Politics by Joseph S. Nye, Jr..  This is a book about diplomacy, culture, and politics.  It is about spreading positive ideas about the United States around the world.  It is a counter to the hard politics.  Joseph S. Nye, Jr. argues that the United States needs to build strong alliances, make itself look good in the world, and be economically strong to counter terrorism and other threats.  He describes how it is no longer possible to secure what we want by military strength alone.

I also read some more of The Secret Lives of Color.  I read about the color purple and its different shades.  Purple is considered the color of royalty.
